Nectar3 - Rural Broadband

Through simulation and analysis, the researchers concluded that HAPS technology is capable of delivering broadband communications services – between 2Mbs and 30Mbs – to low-density and hard-to-reach areas.

The aim of the project was to determine the types of data rate and service that could be delivered, the main characteristics of the payload for delivering the service, the ground stations required to support them and the number of HAPS required to reliably deliver the service 24/7.
